Why Unvented Roofs are Best for Custom Homes

Moisture Management Energy Use Condensation Ventilation

Course Description

Venting roofs is a common approach to moisture management in every climate but it can pose serious (and under-appreciated) risks to moisture management in custom homes.  This course explains the physics behind the practice and reviews the most common design approach to venting before describing the conditions under which venting roofs might not be appropriate and what the alternatives are.
